Storstädning i lekstugan

Igår var det storstädning i lekstugan. Och det bästa som finns när man har städat är väl att ställa fram en bukett blommor? Det tycker i alla fall jag och Maya!

Yesterday the playhouse got a cleaning. And best thing are when you get to bring a bunch of flowers in the clean and fresh house. At least Maya and I think so!

Mysiga lampor (Cozy lamps)

Jag har ju skrivit på engelska här på bloggen men nu tänkte jag skriva både på engelska o svenska. Hälften av mina läsare är från Sverige och andra hälften är från övriga världen.

Dom här mysiga lamporna kommer från Nära & Kära som jag delar lokal med. Svamplampan står i lekstugan och kaninlampan i min dotters rum.

I’ve been writing in English here on my blog but now I will be blogging in both Swedish and English. Half of my readers are from Sweden and the other half is from the rest of the world.

The cozy lamps are from the shop Nära & Kära, were I have my little photo studio. The mushroom lamp is in the playhouse and the cute little bunny is in my daughters room.

An apple a day…

Today my daughter Maya and I have been in the garden picking apples. Then she prepared the most delicious food for us in her little kitchen.

Playhouse kitchen

The last couple of days we have spent a lot of time in the playhouse. The kitchen area is finally finished and my daughter Maya has been cooking delicious food for us.


The lovely lady that we bought the house from left us the red chair. She had it when she was a little child and also used the room in the outhouse as a playhouse. The green chair my grandfather made for me when I was a child.

Almost everything in the playhouse is from flea market finds, my grandmothers old things and IKEA.

Cute mailbox

This is the door to my daughters playhouse, she loves to receive mail in her little mailbox!
We will be in the playhouse all weekend, fixing the little kitchen corner. Have a nice weekend!

Playhouse tour

We aren’t ready yet in the playhouse, a little kitchen corner is the next thing on the list to be done. But Maya has been playing there all weekend. And the favourite spot is the cosy corner. I’m going to sew some more pillows so it is going to be even cosier in there!

The frames are finally up at the wall in the playhouse!

Embroidered towel-rail cover. The old basket they used for the laundry in the old days and it also was used as a bed for small children and babies. These two things I found at the local flea market.

Playhouse sneak peek

Today I have been sewing a curtain for Mayas playhouse. Tomorrow we will clean the floors and start to decorate the rest of the playhouse. It is not going fast enough for Maya I can tell you. - Are you not finished yet? she cried today. And she thinks that it maybe are going to be too nice in there, because everything I show her she wants to have in her own room. So I have promised her that by fall she can bring the stuff to her room if she wants. Or else I have a feeling that we are going to have to redecorate her room too!

Mushrooms and polka dots…

I have decided to have a polka dot curtain in Mayas playhouse. I have a little thing for polka dots… ;-)
When I started to gather the things that are going to be in the playhouse I discovered that it was a lot of mushrooms every where… It wasn’t my intention to have a mushroom theme, it just happened that way. Don’t worry, I don’t think it is going to be too psychedelic in the playhouse when all the other stuff are in there too :-) But they sure are cute those mushrooms!

Colorful frames

Last weekend we went to a flea market. We are decorating our daughters playhouse and we need lot of stuff in there. I found a pack of frames and got them real cheap. But they needed a clean up and some new paint. I sat outside on the porch yesterday, painting the frames, drank coffee and turned my face to the sun! That’s life!
I’m quite pleased with the result, now I just have to place some cool art in the frames and hung them on the wall in the playhouse.

Home Sweet Home

I found this cute little bird house at Indiska (a Swedish shop). I just couldn’t resist it! And the little bird got so happy for it’s new home ;-). As soon as it’s going to be a bit warmer outside I will start to decorate my daughters playhouse. Last autumn we painted it inside and put up a new ceiling. So now the fun begins, to decorate it! We are going to some flea markets to see if we can find some cool stuff for the interior design.

The little bird is magnetic and can hold sewing needles or paper clips. And it chirps when you touch it!
