DIY

DIY stands for DoItYourself. And that is exactly what we have done with our old computer cabinet HUSAR from IKEA. We transformed it into a wardrobe for our daughter. My hubby painted it and put up some wallpaper both inside and outside of the wardrobe.
Here are some more pictures on the wardrobe.

SMILE

This cool print arrived today in the mail. I’ve ordered it from Roll & Tumble Press, they have a shop on Etsy.

Maybe one of these frames will fit? I’ve been at the flea market again… This time I found a lot of frames and some embroidery hoops.

The bridesmaid

Yesterday I was taking photos at the midsummer wedding. I think I got some good shoots, I took about 650 pictures!!! So at least some of them must me good!! I must confess that I was a bit nervous, but when I start shooting I was so focused to get good photos that I forgot about everything else.

This cute little girl was a bridesmaid at the wedding. Look at her hair!! It is amazing! And it’s all natural! No curling iron or hair-dye has even been close to that hair!

I hope to show you some pictures at the wedding couple when I get their approval on which pictures I can show you. So stay tuned!

Midsummer and a wedding

On Friday we celebrate Midsummer her in Sweden. We dance around the maypole and have a feast of pickled herring, boiled new potatoes, beer and schnapps. Here you can read more about the Swedish Midsummer.

I am not going to dance around the maypole, I’m going to photograph my first wedding! I’m so excited and a bit nervous! So keep your fingers crossed! I don’t want to say to the wedding couple: “Can you please do the ceremony again because my camera broke”!!!

What to do on a rainy day

It has been raining the last couple of weeks. So to activate ourselves indoors we went to the craft shop and bought some beads and some other stuff for crafting. My daughter has made some necklaces and bracelets. We have also played some memory, this is an old vintage memory as you can see from the pictures! :-)

I’ve just discovered this stunning artist Aida Coronado from Mexico. She makes the most beautiful clothes and accessories! I really really would love to have at least one of her creations! Maybe some day… Here are how she describes her creations: ”This stunning collection is about a Bohemian, Magic and Creative life. An unique, laid back, fashionable, gorgeous and stunning life, it is based on handcrafted details from a traditional vintage flokish chic lifestyle.”

Visit her Etsy shop, blog or Aida Coronado Store

Fleamarket goods

Yesterday I was at a fleamarket with my mom. I was looking for an vintage suitcase but didn’t find any. I already have an old looking suitcase, but there’s always room for one more, right? :-) But I did find a lot of other stuff: a music stool, some gorgeous small coffee cups, a bunch of crochet potholders and a vintage frame. And it only cost about 15$ (USD)!!! I like!

Daddy’s girl

My daughter is right now in a phase, “daddy’s girl” phase. Everything should be done by and with dad… The favorite things to do with dad is: gardening, wrestling and playing guitar. And of course her guitar must be right by daddy’s!

Beautiful garden

Here are some photos from my brother and his wife’s garden. I should say her garden because it is! My brother has very little to do with it ;-) She really has a green thumb! (Click the pictures to view them larger)

The door is open…

So many wonderful things have happened to me lately. It feels a bit like a dream. As my sister said to me: “This is too good to be true, maybe you wake up tomorrow and it all was just a dream!” And sometimes it’s feels just like that! A dream. But maybe my time has come? Maybe this is my dreams coming through? And if it’s not, that’s ok too. Because I have enjoyed every minute of it so far!

“It will cost you nothing to dream, and everything not to.”
